  Welcome Grey Goose. You are in a great situation to fade - no wife or kids.

  Your apparently biggest step is going to be stepping down as a Ministerial Servant - but it's not difficult at all! Eventually, the lies you have to tell in your "teaching assignments" will chew up your conscience so badly, that telling the CoBE you're quitting as an M.S. will be easy.

  Been there, done it - I just told the two elders that my reasons were private & personal, and refused to say more! Seriously bugged them. :)

  You now have to follow your own route. Best wishes.

  It's apparently the Corporation's way of weaning the publishers away from taking pride in the amount of printed literature they place each month, to getting them to feel that they're achieving the same objective (preaching the good news????) by getting strangers to look at clips of Corporate videos & animations on an iPad.

  All part of the master plan to drastically cut or eliminate the costs of printing, in exchange for "digital teachings."

  How do I handle this situation?

  hey everyone.

  i'm sorry that this isn't a very thought provoking post but i could really use some advice on how to handle this.

  there isn't anyone else in my life i can ask right now because, being dfed, all of my friends are "worldly" and don't know how witnesses function.

  Would a loving creator give humans the gift of free will?

  they say ignorance is bliss... well, i wish that god did not give adam free will.

  i am ok to not have free will if it means i will live forever in perfect paradisiac conditions.it has been explained that free will is a gift from god.

  We have "free will" to obey our governments laws - or not - and they are generally for everyone's benefit.

  Doing otherwise (in many situations) causes pain, suffering, or death to fellow citizens - such as driving while drunk or using firearms against innocent people. People select for themselves which laws they will abide by, and which ones they will flaunt. How would our cities look if no one deliberately broke laws?

  The scriptural "law of the Christ" for Christians doesn't strike me as being restrictive or depriving me of anything. It's just a pity that more people don't do to others what they'd like done to them.

  “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the LORD. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people." (Jeremiah 31:33 - NIV)

  An earth filled with law-abiding people wouldn't be a bad thing, would it?

  How we exercise our free will defines exactly who we are, and silently testifies to our love and respect for others.

  johnny the bethelite on this program talks about the older bethelites being targeted by watchtower.they are getting rid of those at bethel who are 65-87 years old, some being anointed even the widows of former governing body members who gave decades of loyal service time to the watchtower organization.. the reasons the very elderly are being expelled are money in that for their age range they cost so much to cloth, fed, and medicate, having problems from high blood pressure to dementia.

  The "refining work" and the "best use of resources" will continue to rapidly slow down the production of printed literature and focus on the cost-saving electronic "witnessing" propaganda. The numbers joining, coupled with the number of J.W.'s infants being baptized, will be greatly outweighed by the numbers of those who are fading/leaving/disfellowshipped.

  so, i know there are some from my congregation or from bethel who monitor my posts..... maybe you're looking for something to catch me out?.

  just a question: rather than trying to find fault with me, have you stopped and looked into the issues or facts about the organisation that caused me to come to a place like this forum??.

  facts are there for anyone to find nowadays....one just has to be willing to pull their head out of the sand.....

  The perverse and evil thinking which J.W's in general - but elders in particular - display, never ceases to disgust me, because they attempt to justify such anti-Christian behaviour as "theocratic warfare."

  It's OK for them to frequent apostate web sites - but not you!

  It's OK for elders to speak with disfellowshipped ones - but you will be severely punished for doing so!

  It's OK for elders to look at & discuss your monthly report - but try and ask to see their reports!!!!

  It's OK for "imperfect elders" to make mistakes, but "imperfect publishers" mistakes will be punished by them!

  Glorious ones? In their dreams!
